My Day at Atlantis Academy

Atlantis Academy Student AshleyMy name is Ashley and I go to Atlantis Academy in Coral Springs. I am in 9th grade and I have been here for six years. Atlantis Academy has helped me so much. I love it here! I don’t think there could have been any better school for me. I have made a lot of friends over the past six years.

When I get to school in the morning, we have a few minutes with our friends before we go to first period at 8:15. My first class is Information and Technology with Ms. Kashan. Recently, we learned how to write a resume. Ms. Kashan makes everything easy to understand. If I have a question or if I need some help, she is there to answer it for me or explain it better.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I have PE and Spanish. Coach Holle has us run a lap or two and do some stretches. We recently played frisbee, and soccer and soon we are going to be starting a body test. In Spanish, Ms. Gozzi explains what she is saying to us and she helps us to understand.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have Health and Critical Thinking with Mr. Holle. We are learning about eating the right foods and eating certain foods in moderation. In my Critical Thinking class, we are talking about bullying and types of bullying.

During fourth period, I have English with Ms. Mandat. We often read and learn new vocabulary words. She explains the lesson to everyone and helps us if we don’t understand.

Mr. Butler is my teacher for US Government and World History. He is an awesome teacher and he makes history and government class fun! We are learning about the amendments right now.

After Government class, we go to lunch. I like to sit with all my friends. After lunch, I go to Biochemistry class where we research information and do projects in groups. During eighth period, I have Pre-Algebra with Ms. Mandat. We are learning about slopes in her class. She is very good at explain everything to us.

At the end of the day, I go home, walk my dog, and finish my homework.
